Reverse

What happens when only you think so,

while others deny it, could they no more?

what happens when you think she’s all that,

and others snuff at you, think your taste is bad.

what happens when you think you’ve turned blind,

and mad, but know you’re still sane and glad.

What happens when only you differ,

swallow sweet, pain and all life’s bitter. 

What happens when in love, you immerse,

do you stay on track, or get stuck in reverse?

I sat there pondering,

eyes closed, oblivious to my surroundings,

funny images, started appearing,

of that girl i found appealing

i know i’ll never have you,

but let me say this once,

I may not be that man,

no matter how hard i try,

Exhaustion

Staying at home,

i count the stars i see in the sky.. there were none,

looking at my ceiling,

i count the butterflies that flew… there were none,

Strumming at my guitar,

i count the songs that matter…. there were none,

Searching my heart,

i counted the times you put me through pain,

i fell asleep, still counting

Another Man

Sure, I am the one she turns to,

Sure, i listen to her problems,

yet who will listen to mine,

a close companion I’ve yet to find.

Yea,

I’m always there,

comforting, supporting, caring,

yet one does not see this? How can this be?

A heart of stone? nay, of diamonds perhaps

for the heart is still beautiful yet hard,

a hardened heart converged with overwhelming pride,

still i believed i had the upper hand,

or was it just me in denial?

unable to accept that this is the end?

To the one

Come and go, thinking each day,

Lips shan’t utter beatings,For words can’t compare,

Yet each day without meaning, meaninglessly i lay,

My arms grow weak, burdens i bear,

If life’s unkind, unjust and blind,

Know I’m one who shares your pain,

Leave, come back, fast forward, rewind,

Wash my hand, remove that stain.
